Creative Self Expression, experienced as a channeling of sorts, tends to be one of my best references for what exactly is happening energetically both within and externally. Some great adventures and strings of discovery have been initiated through considering a drawing manifesting before me beneath my very own pen. The content is leading, a story about an insight best contemplated lightly, prophetic only in what this moment lends to such.
Creative Self expression, creation by principle, Self as all encompassing, and expression, a reflection of the inner workings of One's Being as a product of what has been observed. The observation is subtle, subconscious, and all pervasive into the matrix of information that appears to surround us. The all pervasive Self is just this, the all of which the mind watches and compiles into an experience relative to One's karmic resolution or discovery of creative potential.
The obvious symbology is within grasp of even the remotely curious researcher. A pitcher to symbolize the coming of the age of Aquarius, a Dorje to signify the masculine contribution, a winged snake as Quatequatel...a mythical figure of whom's importance refers to the traditional beliefs of ancient South American cultures, specifically, the integration of unity consciousness within the physical realm. At least, this is how I have come to understand such.
The symbolism of the picture is not entirely what strikes me, as for me this is a rather direct depiction of popular concepts. What bring me about the inspiration to write on the topic is how Art, when channeled, perfectly reflects the patterns of the subconscious....or perhaps the unconscious, the super-structure of which the fabric of things is painted upon.
Creative Self Expression in the form of visual and musical themes shows what lay just beneath a persons Being, not just the beliefs, but the perspective therein. I can recall growing up and looking at the content of my art, having a rather clear portal into what was going on inside. Of course, when drawing comics, super heroes and villains, ghosts and monsters, in my younger days I was more reflecting directly what interested me. Later on pictures showed what I was working through quite clearly.
It is as if I dream on paper, processing and resolving the energetic patterns of which my perspective of reality is founded. This is possibly why I did not easily recall dreams if even having the slightest idea that a dream had occurred, during my first 28 years on this planet. I was watching my mind repair, restore, and quantify reality right on the paper in front of me.
A giggle hums inside as I recall some works of art...glimpses into the unfoldment of Self-Realization. I could list them off and describe the bits that outline this continuum of observation if I were into such a tedious task...and naturally if such could maintain the interest of a potential reader.
At first the images showed the revulsion against what was being offered as true. A picture of a robot having a wicked gremlin tearing a microchip from the head, a man bound by both straight jacket and thread holding the mouth and eyes shut, a man waist deep in water curiously holding a key as he walks through an open door... visions of a path of refusal to accept, acknowledgement of the forceful way of teaching society portrayed, and a burning desire to be free of the illusion. This freedom has come, and is being explored right now.
When the perspective shifted so did the content. As a foundation of peace and self-evident truth was fortified geometries began to come out in my drawings. Questioning these shapes blew open wide the doors of which the fundamentals of energy dynamics began to nearly with obsession fill my contemplations. I watched as each picture bore more turns, more depth, a furthering of complexity as comprehension broadened.
The time came when patterns were half of what filled my pages, Escher-like tessellation's mixed in with abstract spatterings of curves and splotches of ink. Mandalas of magnanimous variety spilled forth...as if a vein had been tapped of which creative flares of electricity coursed into being with each stroke.
This is what I like to see in Art, not pure symbolism, or chaotic abstraction, but rather a reflection of the unique perspective of divinity as such exists beneath the living expression of the physical. If we see the world as gross, perverted, and wicked, if we harbor pains and discontent for what life has offered us, how we express ourselves will reflect this. As we begin to discover the inner workings of our own mind, creative energies, or Nature in general, so does what we produce as illustrations, music, and poems display.
Now, this is not the limit to which how we see the world comes into Being, our every action holds the same energy. Fear is expressed in countless ways just as trust. Sometimes we are just copying precisely what we see in a new way, reshaping a design originated in experience. How we treat others, the way we spend our money, how we interact with all the things and stuff, the content of our lives, is imprinted with how we understand such.
What would we choose if free from dependance of which our mind resolves the observations of life? Unless there is a comprehension of unity, of the holistic nature of energy then what we create will only show a superficial dimension of ourselves. If we are to create according to the truth implied upon us we shall always just perpetuate the energy of the objective world.
Just a moment of consideration that there is an infinite field of possibility just beyond One's definitions of life can dramatically shift what we create. When the world becomes a place built upon unbreakable compassion, or Love, our sounds will harmonize, the colors to which we paint will inspire the sense of connection felt when expressed.
We can see through the eyes of another through relation, taking possibility as our foundation, or we can search an expression of the creative Being for the symbolism as to how we have discovered such. We can feel through their words, through their curves and palette, we can see our own Self in that which may appear entirely separate, if only at first glance.
Today I am grateful for the ability to observe the workings of the mind and the connection I have been blessed to feel. For each work of art that shows the complex workings of another experience, and for what such inspires me to remember or realize, I choose to be in service of the growth of the world around me.
How could I desire to transcend such a place of unique mystery? A realm of which each breath speaks of the infinite is at hand, and I choose to marvel at what spills forth from this pen, from these keys, and mouth.
We are discovering our creative potential each moment, may we each see in the world around us that which elevates, connects, builds trust and compassion....and may we share equally that which we are so freely given.
Blessed Be,
Nathan
